Need advice for dips/drips. Int. TMPCC

Ok I am getting a shipment tomorrow am and have a few questions. The shipment is coming from frag farmer so I may be ok w/o a dip and drip, but rather be safe than sorry. Does Eric quarantine and treat redbugs, aefw etc?

Down to the questions. I have the correct interceptor and tmpcc. Do I do the tmpcc dip first, or the interceptor drip? How long do I drip? How much of the pill do I use? How much water should I drip?

In other words let me know what you pros do step by step after recieving a package! All these pest scare the living $H!T out of me with the money these corals cost now days.

never realy gotten any corals from Eric but I have gone to his store and I have not seen anything on the acros. But for any coral that I get I just use TMPCC that works on the redbugs and will kill them in 10-15min. I use two pumps of TMPCC for every 8oz of water. As far as AEFW, I have not seen them in a while so I dont know if that works on them. Most on my new frags have been from people I know and not LFS.

I did a single dip on many red bug infested acros and moved them into a qt. I used 1/4 interceptor tablet iin 5 gallons of water and did a 20 minute dip on the corals. It killed all the red bugs and that was 4 weeks ago, still no signs and since they rear live birth, I don't plan on seeing them again. No harm to the corals whatesoever. I have'nt used TMPCC for AEFW's but I have and still am using Aquarium Products: Fluke tabs with awesome results. See Melves AEFW thread for peoples various treatments and experiences.

Wonder if you can do the tmpcc and interceptor at the same time? Int first or tmpcc first?

You can interceptor first for 5 hours 45 minutes, then add the tmpcc for the last 15, although its well proven that tmpcc kills red bugs. I get my stuff at work and stick them in a bucket with the interceptor, while I finish out my day

Wow 6 hrs ok. I can't measure the pill how much do I use? I mean in 1/2 a five gallon bucket would I put in a 1/16, 1/8,1/4?

Well I have them dipping I put a little chipped crushed up in with them, and a air bubbler for a little circulation. How does this sound?

Yes interceptor needs 6 hours to work. I use like a 16th of the large tab. Overdoing is really not an issue since you are not dosing the whole tank.
