I currently have a 150W DE Reef Optix pendant over my frag tank. It is about 12 inches from the water surface. The pendant has a protective glass plate which is removable protecting the bulb.
The frag tank is 30/35g breeder and the frag rack is about 6 inches from the bottom. The frag tank is about 12 inches tall. It is in the garage. Because of evaporation/moisture I was adviced to get a glass/acrylic cover for the tank. So I have an acrylic sheet covering about 80% of the tank.
In order to make sure I have the right lighting. The questions I have is this
a) Should I lower the reef optix pendant or keep the same height?
b) Should I remove the protective glass on the pendant?
c) Should I get a glass cover instead or an acrylic one?
