I HAVE A 55 GAL FOWLER TANK WITH LIVE SAND AND ABOUT 40 POUNDS OF LIVE ROCK. I CAN KEEP ABOUT 3 FISH OK BUT IF I ADD MORE THEY TEND TO LIVE A COUPLE WEEKS AND DIE WITH NO SIGNS. THE FISH I HAVE ARE 2 CLOWNS AND ONE SHRIMP GOBY. IVE TRIED TO ADD DWARF ANGLES AND VARIOUS SMALL FISH. MY TANK PARAMATERS SEEM TO BE GOOD AS FAR AS AMONIA RUNS AT 0 NITRATES 15 PH 8.4 AND ABOUT 1.022 ON REF. WHEN I DO WATER CHANGES I USE PREMIXED RO WATER FROM THE AQUARIUM STORE. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG AND CAN ANY ONE TELL ME ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO OR CHECK? I ALSO HAVE A HANG ON THE BACK FILTER ALONG WITH A HANG ON THE BACK SKIMMER AND A MAXIJET 1200 TO KEEP THE TOP OF THE WATER BROKE FOR GAS EXCHANGE. HELP PLEASE

How long has the tank been up and running? Dwarf angels vary greatly in their hardiness and really do much better in a "seasoned" tank, one that has been up and running for some time. What species of clowns do you have? Some are quite aggressive and can harass a new fish literally to death. What other fish have you tried to introduce? It may be possible that you are trying to introduce new fish too quickly, I tend to go very slow when adding fish to a new system. I also run my SG at a higher 1.026-1.026 range. I also try to keep my temps in the 76-78 range as well. A little more info will help me here. BTW, when you post in all caps it look like you are shouting, just a little internet hint. :)

My tank has been up and running for about 1.5 years and the clowns are the o. clowns. Some of the fish i have tried are the green cromis and a lemon peel are the ones that stick out in my mind. I would like to try a coral bueaty do you think that would work? I keep my temp about 78 degrees. Can anyone recomend any fish that might work well with what I have

Lemonpeels aren't the easiest dwarf angels to keep and can be touchy, the coral beauty is a much better choice and should do fine in your tank. Green chromis are a pretty hardy fish but are known for killing each other off if kept in a group. I have tried to keep groups of them and they always whittle themselves down to a pair. Your tank parameters sound fine and your tank is old enough for an angel. I would go ahead and try a coral beauty, they are one of the hardier species and should do well for you. Good luck.
