I have a BTA that I got about 3wks ago everything was fine until I did a water change last Sunday it deflated I read that this does happen sometimes when you do changes about three hrs later it was fine past couple days its been getting real big and then shrinking. Just now I went to look at it and it is total inside its self . not sure what is wrong with it the only thing I did was turn the intensity down on light cause he is hanging in the bottom of tank could this be the reason?

Just let him be for a bit. Mine make balloon animals once and a while. At three weeks it hasn't really settled in your tank. You don't mention the tanks age.

Sorry my tank a little more than 6 months old it is 60g cube with a 10g sump I have xr15pro radion and a mp 40 pump in it, only other coral I have is a torch. Fish I have 2 clowns ,a grama, bi color angel, regal tang, 3 small chromis' and a cleaner shrimp

I tried Anemones at 6 months and 10 months and they both died. My tank is now about 20 months and I have a Rainbow BTA who is doing well. Anemones are REALLY sensitive and when people say "your tank needs to be established", it really needs to be established.

We all spend a ton of time on our tanks, and so we can think that they are set after 6 months. They are little ecosystems and the younger they are, the more unbalanced that are. Even mine at 20 months, I would still consider on the "young but established" side and I am sure there are some folks that would say I am still to young for an anemone.

Happy New Year:beer:
