going to buy a nano tank but not sure which one is better either 24g nano cube, 24g aquapod, or 29g biocube. which is better buy.

if it was me i would buy the 29 gallon more water will help

it isnt much bigger than the other 2 either (it uses coralife lights)

i would try to look at them all in person than decide from there

The bio cubes are new to the market and jbj nano's have been around for a while and they have made quite a few changes for the better. I would wait and see how the bio cubes do before you buy or just get one that has been around and been tested and improved upon like jbj. Kind of like not buying a car first year of production used to be. Just a thought.

true i would like to go for the bio cube cause it is a little bigger and oceanic makes a good product, i might wait a while to see how they compare to others. Plus i would like to look into a few other nano style tanks like the other one posted in this thread it looked pretty good also those tanks had protein skimmer in back or could get one with a fuge built in back i'm going to have to do some searching around check out more option.

I would recommend not getting a Nanocube. One is the problems with the glass, I won't speak loudly on this in case my tank has ears. But also they are a bit cramped in the back. I think getting some plexi and a 30 cube would be a good idea. Use the plexi to make a custom "sump" area in the back. No hood so you can use a hang on skimmer as opposed to do a DIY that will fit in one of the chambers. I have not checked out the bio cube though, may be a better option.

I like the Nanocubes the best.
Biocubes - I can't get past the lid design.
Aquapods - should be taken around back of the shed and be shot.

I modded my Nanocube so I can't complain about any of the features.

have to have lids on my tanks we got a cat and just got a chausie cat they get 25 to 35 pounds and are skinny hybrid cats bread down from jungle cat ours is 5 months old and already the size of a normal house cat. I agree though would be better without lid so i could ad a aqua c remora skimmer they make one for nano's now at marine depot.

cut out Egg crate to make you lid you could cut out of skimmer and still make it where the cats cannot get into it.

Do you have a pic of the Chausie, or info on it?

yeah i got pics of our kitten before we got it and pics of mother and father full grown they look like mountain lions or a cougar, if i can find your email address i send you some pics, but the real nice cats but not cheap are savannah cats.

great idea, but i'm going to look into those finnex 22g pretty nice setup can get it with skimmer or fuge in back i like those options.

Nanotuners.com has a Finnex M Reef edition tank, it is 20 gal and acrylic with a built in fuge. I was thinking about that one before the new 22 glass M-tank with the skimmer in back was released. Here is a link to it http://www.nanotuners.com/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=310

Can any one chime in here what would be more practical for these smaller tanks a fuge or skimmer? From what I understand other than nitrate reduction people use fuges for pod production but with these smaller thanks where keeping a manderin is a no no would the protein skimmer be more practical?
