I am planning on ordering from Blue Zoo. Their website says the shipment should arrive before 10:30am. I do not get home from work until 5:30. While there will be someone at home to accept the delivery (my wife), she will have our one year old plus doesn't deal with the tank much so I don't want her to have to acclimate the fish....will they be ok in the bags until I get home?

I've never personally ordered from Blue Zoo, but have ordered from Live Aquaria many times. The fish will usually get shipped to my wife's work and we put them in when we get home (Around 5-ish.) Obviously the sooner you get them out of the bag the better, but I haven't had any problems.

Have them sent to your work and then tell them you have an emergency and need to get these fish in the tank asap lol..

I just had some zoas sent to me for my first online purchase (thru here) and I left work for an hour or so to put them in the tank. They would have been fine but with a fish im sure the sooner out the better.

You will lose your live guarantee per their site.

For Dead On Arrival (DOA) items, we must be notified via email within one hour of delivery time posted by FedEx, for Dead After Arrival (DAA) items within the 7-Day allowance.

Obviously, the sooner the better getting them into the tank is best. This is pretty much standard as 1-2 hours from delivery times for any guarantee with most vendors. I don't know what time you go to work, but maybe you could take the morning off or half of day.
