Does anyone have any experience with the IM 25 lagoon? This will be my first saltwater tank. I really like the size and the look but I haven't been able to see one in person.

Also I was looking to buy locally but BRS and Marine Depot both have the tank for less than a lfs quoted me to order. Any suggestions, I have never ordered from either.

Thanks in advance, I'm excited about getting started.

I have ordered from both BRS and Marine Depot and have been happy each time. They are both reputable. If all other things are equal, I'd order from BRS. In addition to a very responsive customer service team, they also have a customer loyalty program whose points up add quickly for nice discounts on future purchases.

I cant speak for Marine Depot at all because Ive never ordered from them but BRS has amazing customer service, even if you didnt buy the item from them they do their best to help you out over the phone. Ive also never had a problem with an order from BRS.

I just wanted to say thank you to those who replied. I ended up finding it in stock at Corals & More so I went and picked it up today. I'm not going to be able to get into it until the end of the month so now it's time to start picking up rock, sand, and figuring out exactly what I want to do.

Thanks for the help.

Congrats on the tank.

Like Kegogut, I've had no experience with Marine Depot, but have had excellent service with BRS. If I order online it's usually BRS or Premium Aquatics.

Yeah I think I'm going to get my rock, sand, and a few other goodies from BRS the next few days. I've been watching a lot of their videos on YouTube and really like the information they provide.

Its great that you found this forum before you started your tank. You'll be doing a lot of asking for advice here on RC.

If you need some sand or some rubble to help seed your tank once you get it set up,lemme know and I'll give you some.

We are very fortunate in that we have multiple good LFS's here in the St. Louis metro area. Which one is better than another is matter of personal preference. No matter where you are in the metro area, there is a good place somewhere close by.

My two favorites are "Gateway Aquatics" which is in the county on Telegraph road south of the City and "The Corner Reef" which is across the river in Columbia, IL. There are good shops in the western suburbs as well out around St. Charles. I just don't make it out to those ones that frequently due to distance and traffic.

Where are some of the better LFS's in St. Louis?

As mentioned above its really a matter a personal preference but I find myself going to Gateway Aquatics,The Corner Reef,Marine Solutions, and Corals and More 99% of the time.

Theres a couple other reputable places that arent really in my wheel house that are good too I just done get their way that often.

Nice. Lei is very good at getting you what ever you need at a very competitive price.

If I was going to be out west, I'd be sure to stop by Marine Solutions and Corals n More. They are both in St Charles. I'm sure they are others worth a look as well but I can't think of their names at the moment.

I'm going to be in Weldon Springs towards the end of the month so anything west is good.

Thanks.

I'd say that no matter where you live, Marine Solution, Gateway, and Corner Reef are all worth the drive...I should know. The closest LFS to me is a good hour and a half away.
