Hello everyone

I have been in the hobby for one year and need advice on what fish to add to my 150 gal - next.

I have the following fish:

2 clowns
1 lawnmower blennie
1 orange shoulder tang
6 - chromies (bluish gray damsels)
1 - 6 line wrasse
1 flame angel
1 skunk shrimp (fairly large)

I also have soft and hard corals and a medium size clam.
There are many hermit crab in all sizes in the tank.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to add something colorful to the tank - but that is not a requirement. My biggest concern is that everyone in the tank like each other.

Thanks.

Yes, many are aggresive. Hippos are pretty mellow. If your making this your last fish you could try a Powder Blue.

I did not want to make this my last fish. Most of the fish I currently have - are small. The orange shoulder tang is the largest fish and he is maybe 4 inches long.

With my tank being 150 gal. - I was hoping to add many more fish. The problem that I seem to be running into, is that so many fish are not compatible with other fish, or they are aggressive, or they eat coral.

I think your stressing too much over something that is the most fun about the hobby. Get yourself a good book and make a list of fish that are reef safe. You have plently of room in that tank, relax and enjoy.

Firefish don't mass much, and a couple or three make a nice little bit of red.

Get some anthiases. Tangs should be kept either solor or in groups of 3 or larger. Two are only ok if added at the same time and can still have problems. Maybe a royal Gamma.

Have you considered a Blenny of some sort? I have a Fanged Blenny that is my favorite fish! He stays in the water column all the time. They are kinda hard to find (at least around here) so you dont see them in a lot of other peoples tanks. They have 2 small venomous fangs that they use only in defense of predators. They are excellent fish for a community tank as they are not aggressive at all. I will put a link below to a great read on them, and a pic of mine. It is a Meiacanthus tongaensis. Good luck!
