Need advice with acro's

I'm not new to keeping sps but its been a while since i've had a tank. I have one up now thats 6 months old and this certain type of acro has been giving me problems. All my other sps are doing great. It always starts at the tips and stn. Can anyone suggest any ideas? Here are my params.

coral pro salt
ph - 8.2
alk - 8.3
mag - 1320
cal - 480
nit - 1
phos - >.05
light 2 ai primes

water change 5% weekly
dose kalk+2 2tsp in 5gal auto-topoff/5ml amino acids every 3 days
carbon + phosguard
tunze nano skimmer
alk swings from water change >0.5
4 fish in 40 gal fed everyday

its a little frustrating and i dont know what im doing wrong. Ive had 2 colonies die on me.

That looks like alk burn to me. Not all acros will react the same way to an overdose of alk.

Just to make sure, you're not mixing the amino acids with the kalk mixture right? That could have some unintended byproducts...

Double check your alk with a different kit or bring a sample to LFS if possible
How long have these pieces been in the tank?

How old is the reef. Do you have a healthy sponge population?, Ime, when your reef shows a healthy diverse sponge population it's ready for sps . Btw , lose the phosguard. Good luck.. zsu
