Need advise from Tunze USA.

Yeah, the Tunze pumps have really tight tolerances, that is part of how we get the energy efficiency and unfortunately that means very little is required in terms of deposits to stop the pump. They actually run very cool but when you turn any pump on and off, while it is off the heat from the copper coil rises to the surface.

You think will be better to go with shorter possible intervals ? let said one minutes, the pumps will not have that much time to heat up.
 
I only know the theoreticals- I haven't actually tried it and 2min should be fine. I use the 7400/2 still with pulse mode so they never turn off.
