I am currently building my first saltwater aquarium. It is a 75 gallon. I want to add a sump to it but I don't know what size to use. I have a 29 gallon that I can use.The stand is 5ft with tank. What return pump should I use. Any imput is great, thank You.

Biggest you can fit and have space to do maintenance.

This. My 60 cube was my first experience with a sump and it's tight with a space that small. The caveat is to leave room for other equipment. Will you be adding a calcium reactor or other external reactors? ATS? Will you need to store equipment or supplies in the cabinet? Try to plan it all out as much as you can and then make the sump a large as possible.

I had a 29 on my 75 but it would be better for skimmer and other equipment if you could do a 40. Watch for petco doing a $1 gallon sale

If you have 5' inside the stand I would jump all over a 40b. Lots of room for internal equipment and it will leave you room inside the stand for the other stuff.
