I have not had a tank in a couple of years and just recently got back into the hobby. I have a 155 gallon tank I started 6 week ago, I have 4 false clowns, 1 yellow tang, 2 red bubble tip anomones and a open brain coral. My question is I put my bubble tips in 3 days ago and my clowns have been there for 1 1/2 weeks, why are they not going near my anomones?

It normally takes some time for the clowns to begin to host. Give 'em some time and they will take. It took my percs 3 months before they hosted my sebae.

Welcome back to the hobby. Best wishes!!

They may never host in the anemones, it's not necessarily hardwired into their brains to seek out anemones. Especially if they're captive bred, they may have never even seen an anemone before.

My clowns prefer to host in a branching hammer coral:

My RBTA anemone seemed lonely, so I bought a porcelain anemone crab:

I love love love those Anemone crabs... Great shots of everything Josh!

I think that having 4 clowns in there is going to end up poorly down the line... Here nor there... After having the tank up for 6 weeks and only having the anems in for a few days they are probably not all the way settled in yet.. Besides all of that , Clowns are funny animals.. Some will host in a filter sock or a sweat sock and some just will not host anything... Best bet is to just keep everyone as happy as possible and it "will happen when it happens" ...

second bit of advice is to check out the forumns here on RC about
Clowns and Anems ...Full of great advice... Not trying to discourqage you from asking here..This is a great place as well , but that forumn is espescially for that topic , thus has a wider range of people/experience.....

Welcome back, 155 only set up 6 weeks ago is a little young to be placing corals and anemones in, IMO.
Can you post what else you have in your tank. Live rock, hardware, lights filtration....

Those clowns don't necessarily host in bubble tips. I've had them host in several different LPS, though.
