Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know what this is and if its good or bad.

To me, it looks like a type of hydroid.

They seem to be pretty harmless unless they get near something you like as they tend to have a powerful sting for other corals, etc.

Best of luck,

Roy

Well said Gresh, I believe it looks like a particular type of orange beadlet type anemone related to our very own strawberry ones. No doubt you see the strawberries ab diving?
Tim stopped by the other day and we got pretty close on an id. Maybe Tim remembers the genus we had it down to?-Jim

Looks like a club tipped anemone. There is a description of it in Sprungs coral book. It is supposed to have a very potent sting. I would be carefull with that one.

Man I have no idea what this is anymore, you would not believe how many different names this little guy has been called. If you guys were in my shoe would you hit it with Joe's Juice or let it grow.

Oh if this helps it is only comes out at night since during the day it is covered by a mushroom. The mushroom is very healthy and has grown in size over the last few weeks.
