It is not N. wennerae or G. smithii. Superficially, it looks like N. minutus, but I have never seen one live.

Where is it from?

How long is it?

Roy

Dr Roy,

I am not sure where it came from one day I was working at the lfs and a customer brought it in. All the live rock in this area is from figi. could you pass along any more info on this sepcies. I know it's a smasher but I have been unable to get any pics of it's meral spots.

I just did a quick google search for N. Minutus and came up with all kinds of 160 page pdf documents but not much info. By the way this mantis is about 2 inches long. Dr roy is this a species that you ight be interested in? or have you studied this species before? I checked Roy's list but came up with no info.

Brazil was mentioned as where these shrimp are from. As I said a customer brought it in to the lfs one day while I was working there and I took it. I cannot seen to find anymore info on this species though.

Yes I did Dr roy. I have to find the shrimp again as he escaped from the container that I was holding him in. As soon as I can I will take a look and get that info to you. Thank you for responding and I will get the info to you asap as I would like to get this mystery beast Identified
