Need Anemone for clown

Okay I need an anemone for my saddle clown I know they host in a carpet but i dont think he'll care he wants to be in my brain well my brain doesnt agree to say the least. Problem is he's in a nano 10 gallon would a tiny carpet be okay in there? Suggestons please

Personally, I wouldn't keep any hosting anemone in a 10 gallon -- all of them get to big -- IMO.

I tried it in the past with a BTA, and it just took over the tank.

When you say mini carpet, I am assuming that you aren't talking about a small hosting carpet -- if that is the case, there is a chance that you won't have a clown.

Even your clown is going to get too big for the 10 gallon. Are you going to upgrade to a bigger tank some day? The best thing you could do for your brain coral is to move it to another tank or remove the clown. I also wouldn't put any host anemone in a 10 gallon.

It's too small for any kind of anenome. I've seen clowns host in frogspawn

I agree with the above. Look into a frogspawn coral, or even better - find yourself a big frilly mushroom (which is technically an anemone anyways).

I remember that thread, that nem is huge! Absolutely gorgeous too, it's still a very pretty rose color.

For a small tank, I'd still buy a couple of really nice frilly mushrooms for a clownfish. They don't get much bigger than 4-5 inches, and mushrooms are almost impossible to kill.

Thanks, yes i will be moving them to a 100 gallon later on
