Need Chiller Recommendations

I think I might need a chiller this summer. My upgraded tank is now in the living room which gets a lot of sunlight, and if we are away and the house is closed it could get to the upper 80's in there. I have a fan over the sump and a closed top. I am thinking of removing some of the closed top and putting screen or eggcrate on it but I think there may be a few times when it won't be enough. When we are here we have many windows and can generate good drafts.

So....I need recommendations for an inexpensive chiller. I have little room left if any in the sump so small is better. The tank has about 100G of water. Like I said I doubt it will be used often but it still needs to work. It will hooked up to my Apex Jr.

100 Gallons of water and temps in the upper 80's does not equal a small or inexpensive chiller.

What other head sources do you have in the tank? Please include all pumps, power heads, lighting etc.

Perhaps we can figure out how to minimize heat and then perhaps we could get by with a slightly smaller chiller.

Well the best scenario is no chiller! The pump, lights specs are in my signature. Have to dig up the skimmer pump tho'.

Also we have these half moon windows atop a large three pane gas filled window. It might be cheaper to get a really good black out window covering which would keep the heat of the sun out. It comes through that one window most of the day. The others are on the shaded side of the house.

Part of the heat problem i bet is that Eheim pump. We bought too much pump for our needs and have it throttled all the back to 650 gph and it's rated for something like 1300.

Yeah, the only way you are going to get a "cheap" (under $400) chiller is used. They are all pretty comparable in price and I believe you'll need a 1/10th at the least.
