I bough a six line wrasse a week ago from the lfs. About three days ago i noticed that it had 2 or 3 small clear oval patches of on his head about 2mm. At first i though it was just mucus, possibly left over from the mucus nests that he makes, but today i noticed:

Scraping
small clear slightly raised about 2-3mm oval spots on his sides and head
twitching

EDIT: You can see some around his eye and two patches on his head.

Sounds like flukes. Im currently battleing a breakout in my tank at the moment. I've asked a bunch of questions about how to cure and the average answers I got was a freshwater dip, qt all fish, treat with prazi pro and run tank fallow for at least 8 weeks. These were what most of the answers I got were. I just got prazi in the mail tonight so I'm starting my treatment as soon as I get home from work tonight.

The reason I asked is I had to treat my dt and was told that it would kill all my feather dusters. But I didn't take notice that yours was in a qt. Sorry about that. My dilemma is I don't have a big enough qt to house all of my fish in for 8 weeks. On the other hand I'm taking a chance because I have hundreds of those small dusters and if It kills them I might have an ammonia spike.

I would get one of those seachem ammonia badges so you can continuously monitor the ammonia levels. If you get a spike go buy a 50 gallon rubbermade tote to keep your fish in while the spike goes away.

Well believe it or not before I left for work today all the dusters seemed fine. He's my problem my frogspawn and xenias are all closed and drooping and my leather pulled in alittle as soon as I put it in and haven't gotten better since.
