RE: Currently seeing if Barrier Reef has replacement ballasts. Will keep everyone informed.

Hi

I just got back from a funeral in NYC, and the ballast on my 24g nano-cube burned out over the weekend.

My questions are:

1) Does anyone have a spare JBJ 36wx2 ballast for sale, or know where to find one?

2) If I cannot find a ballast locally, does anyone have a 20" fixture that could be borrowed until I get a ballast replacement?

3) How long can most non-light-demanding corals go without high intensity light (PC/MH/Etc.) (Mostly Xenia, montis, shrooms, leather, zoas)

Thanks for your time,

Eric

Easy solution, get a workhorse. They're much better, and don't have that pain in the A$$ fuse mounted on the board that can't be replaced. And if it blows, chances are something else fried too. I replaced mine on my 96w quad pcs with a workhorse, and the lights were even a little brighter. My corals thanked me for it. No really, they all screamed in unison, in tiny high pitched voices, "Oh thank you, reef master! Thanks to you, we can grow big and strong!" Lol, j/k.

Try this link... didn't shop around, just went somewhere I know is good.

Thanks for the advice.

My dad went to barrier and they had the ballasts for the cube. I should have had him replace the bulbs too since he was there :)

Either way, thanks for a quick reply! Disaster averted!
