Need fish ID

Ok so here is the story. I took an extended weeked memorial day weekend. I had plans for diving and fishing down in miami with a couple of buddies. The whole trip was a wash with the 30+ MPH winds. So last day we decide to shoot up to FT. Pierce for some night time fishing for snook. Get up ther and castnet for some bait. Fish all night with 0 Snook in the boat. Start heading to the boat ramp right before sunrise I release all the bait we did not use. Load up and get home and this little guy was still in the live well. Let me just mention it was a like a 2 hour drive back up to lake county. Anyway I am not one to just kill an animal. I love to fish but will not kill a fish if I know I am not going to eat it. So I kept him and he is in my 24 aquapod. Can anyone tell me what he is? I think he is in the seabream family or porgy but would like to know for sure.

He looks like some kind of squirrel fish, but Im not sure.

grunt or sweetlip. here's a pic of the clown sweetlips and you can see the flat lower face and 100 degree angle up the front of the face. i'll tey to find a diffrent pic other than the clown.

ok.. I will continue to see if I can find out what he is. So far he has made it with no issues. I wanted to give him a chance and he survived so Can't can him now. I'll let you knwo on the dive trip. I'll be lucky if I can go anytime soon.
