Hey i was telling my dad to switich his 90G tank too a FOWLR but he thinks that its going to be ugly, worse than a freshwater tank. The reason is b/c keeping corals and fish is too expensive and wants to go back to freshwater tank. I need you, follow members to prove my dad wrong and the best way i figured to do this is by showing pics of your FOWLR tanks.
thx.....

campbell how do the angels get along, what order did you introduce them and at what size were they when purchased, beautiful tank i love large angels but am curious on how to introduce them and be able to keep more than one.

reeferadditction...... with the greatest of respect (sincerely), you would want to be keeping big marine fish for at at least 5yrs, and be keeping or have kept a species of full size angel for at least 2 of these years before even contemplating a large angel community. I personally consider it to be one of the most advanced area's of the hobby, simply because while extensive research will help, you need hands on experience with Pomacanthid's to stand a good chance of suceeding.

That is of course not to say you cannot try, but honestly, most people fail unless they have the knowledge, the experience, the time, and the space......... try keeping a medium level angel first, like an emporer, get him through his colour change sucessfully, then you are ready ;)

Large angel communites are abstract, counterintuitive, and unstable at best...... bringing order to the inherent chaos is not something that ccampbell57 or others can "explain" in words I'm afraid.

In short though, the key is big tank, good flow, good size differential, correct species choice and order of introduction :)

I fully agree with Matt on this one. They key to having multiple angels and having as many aggressive fish that I have is experience and knowledge of the fish.

Currently, my 180 is running out of room. I have a max of 12 months left in it and will be upgrading to a ~400g.

I don't promote multiple angels as the norm. Every fish has different attitudes and some get along and some live by themselves forever.

If you have the space, you have the time, and you have angels of different genus you are on your way.

hey guys thanks for the tips on large angels, although i dont have the room nor the experience now for multiple angels i am always trying to learn everything i can about this hobby and what better way than to ask those that have obviously been succesful. anyway here is my fowlr i hope you enjoy it and sorry for the poor pic quality camera phones arent the best and my digi has taken a crap.

Hi reefaddiction - nice tank - it looks really nice.... what are the dimensions? Nice emporer - have you had him long?

From your last post, you appear to have the right attitude toward things to one day have a nice angel community, if you so choose :)

Tank looks well..... I like the aquascaping!

thanks for the comliments matt, not sure the exact dimensions of the tank but it is a tipical 72" 125 im sure of that, the emporer i have had for a few months and is deff the tank boss he has been bold from the moment he was released from qt, no whimpy timid angel here, lol. the aquascaping has worked out well pleanty of open area but yet lots of places to hide, im thinking of doing a 2 island in my reef now. i want to add some more gorgonias as the one in there has been doing great, it was in my reef but i think i keep it too clean, i actually think some gorgonias like the extra nutrients in a fo system, plus i like a more natural look, jazz you may want to look at some of the macro algae tanks i wish i could have some but the tangs tear it up. jazz dont let him go to fw that would be nuts there are some amazing fo tanks out there i havent seen any fw tanks that look that great with the exception of some planted ones and the husbandry will compare to corals.
good luck

THANK U GUYS BIG TIME!!!!!!!! these r the pics i need to settle it, but plz if people have more pics plz add em. It will help also andshow my father how big of a FOWLr community there is!!!!
