Just elbow grease. I use the lights for as little time as necessary. The sand is pretty new stioll so it looks nice and white, that will change.
The French is about 10 or so inches in diameter (bout the size of a dinner plate), with the gut to match. The Mac is about 8.5 inches long.
Nice Cross Hatch! No issues between all the triggers? Or is this the Rules are thrown out scenerio since the tank is SO large? lol..
Cool nevertheless.
These were my Predator Reef Tennis ball size Hermit Crabs
I had an an Argus Grouper just like this. This is not mine. Yes they are this beautiful forever.
I had one of these too. Mine was not this big. This is an Assassi Trigger.
And lastly The Tesselata Eel. You don't want one of these trust me LOL! Mine was great, but there was only one type of fish that I could keep with him that he did not try to kill. Only one species of Trigger that I kept was able to back this Eel down. This thing can kill just about anything. But they are beautiful!

Nice fish, were they all in the same tank? Especially with the eel? What kind of trigger kept the eel back, your clown or assassi? I love those eels, but they need too big of a tank for themselves.
The only other animal besides a Damsel that he had not yet caught that was able to live peacefully with him was the Black Durgeon Triggerfish. I had two of them in with him. They were like Tess Eel Kryptonite no doubt. He was not afraid of them. They did not attack him. But they were smart. They cut him off anytime his moves were menacing. With the Tess Eel that's most of the time. These Black Durgeons were by far NOT my meanest Triggers. I had a mean Fuscus, and a Pinktail from Hell. The Pink tail was the meanest I ever owned. He whupped on my Fuscus, and on my Queen. The Fuscus was bigger than him, and the Queen not much smaller. He had to be put into a divided tank with the Queen. He was mean. But the Tess tore at his fin, and the Tess tore through the Fin of the Fuscus. The Tess hunted for them, and the Queen. So I had to buy a whole nother 180, and 120 gallon just for my Triggers that the Tess kicked out of his 180. He even made my Argus Grouper nervous as heck, and the Grouper was 9". In the end I had two 180's, and a 120. All FOWLR. All Triggers, Groupers, and Eels. But the Tess had one 180 with two Black Durgeons all to himself. And they lived happily together. I had to engineer the tank, so that I could keep the two Durgeons together. It was pretty cool.
Here's a not so good PIC of my two Black Durgeons living in the 180 with the Eel. I mostly shot video of them because it always came out more clear, as Triggers like to move a lot.
And Also I had a Horse Conch! My tank was a true Predator Reef. The Horse Conch would eat Turbo snails, and clams! but after a few months the huge crabs got him...
Thanks Meskeet! The crosshatch is definitely one of my favorite fish. I cant wait till I get my bigger tank to get him a female companion.
As far as there being any issues between the triggers, none what so ever. I had a blueline in there before the Crosshatch that was the same size as the Niger and the niger tried to kill it. Suprised me quite a bit due to the fact that the Niger is probably the least aggressive fish in my tank (next to the Nasos).
I would say mixing triggers can be done, but with extreme caution. There are limitations to what you can do.
