NEED Help! Acan sick?

So, in my 3 years of being an acan freak I've never seen this happen to any of mine. I bought this a couple days ago, it was dipped in CoralRX as every other coral I've ever bought. It ate last night (Mysis)

Just looked at it and half of it is covered in a while cloudy film.

Should I try and frag the healthy part off?
Is the cloudy part done/ruined?
What is the cloudy stuff?
Should I take it out of my tank / is it a threat to other coral?

Are you talking about the white on the left of the frag? It looks like the start of cynao. Are you able to suck it off with a turkey baster or something else.

Nope, bacterial infection as a result of the die off. The infection can spread, and some would cut it off and do an iodine dip at this point.

What Tweaked said +1. In my experience, that type of infection can spread very quickly across a coral in a brown jelly kind of way. I suggest removing the infected part ahead of the infection and iodine dip.

looks like it was stung or damaged then infected. I've had an acn lose out to a chalice and what wasnt digested got infected and died off about two weeks later. Dip it and frag it
