ok thx, will organi cure work good enough, the only thing i could find that the lfs said would work, but i'd like to be sure. Also should i remove all fish and treat or just the clown.

I'd say all , I have never dealt with it but seen a lot of info about this . from what I seen it moves fast and you need to do so as well . Good luck I hope you beat it and save your fishy friends

thx, i planned to remove them all but wanted to be sure, i doubt the clown will live, her mate was gone in about 12 hours, couldnt get anything so late last night, sucks.

Says this stuff has Fomaldehyde 17% in a tri-chelated form, should i use an airstone with it or is my penguin with filter floss enough?

no just finished removing the fish from my dt into my qt, what a pain in the butt!!! had to take all my rock out grrrr, which i was going to take a bit out to add to my other system which is fallow for right now, and to be sure nothing is on the rock i guess about 2 more months of being fallow just to be safe now lol. I even qt'd all these fish for 5 weeks, grrrrrr lol, frustrating. I know the female clowns probably not going to make it. kole tang looked fine in the dt but got him in the qt out of the lights and he's splotchy also sigh. wrasses look fine but they'll have to deal with the treatment so i hope they live. watchman gobby just goes with the flow lol, nothing bothers him and so far he looks good. so far my seaweed blenny that came in my bags of sand a year ago died, royal gramma dead, purp dotty dead, and male clown dead, not a good day.

snorvich how exactly does brook work, i qt'd all fish so i don't understand how it was introduced to the dt, or is it just something that can happen without any control?

Depends what you mean by quarantine. If you purchased any fish from a source running a low level of copper, it is essential to observe them in clean water for a minimum of four weeks. What is your quarantine protocol?

all the fish were from la/dd and they were in qt for 5 weeks. I didn't medicate with anything because they all looked great and ate everything from day 1. The only other fish was the seaweed blenny that came with my sand from TBS, he was in the system for 9 months b4 i even bought these fish, went through the cycle and did great the whole time, was a pig lol.

I would have suggested you take a proactive approach to QT and treat them during QT to eliminate any poosibility that one of your fishes is a disease carrier. Everytime you add a fish to QT without the others leaving starts the QT period all over again.

I am having difficulty reconciling your other posts with the time line. What exact dates did the fish arrive from LA/DD?

I had the tang and a pair of maroons in qt already when i got the order from la/dd on the 17th of march, so they all went into the qt and my time started over. Added all fish to my dt on the 23rd of april. Noticed on the 24th the male clown was pale and assumed he was just having a harder time with acclimating then the rest. I learned not to assume from this experience, I should have jumped on this sooner but i'm still learning. From now on I'll treat during qt for sure, I do not want to go through this again. I'm thinking the blenny that was in the tank this whole time may have started this nightmare, but i'll never know for sure.

I don't understand why it wouldn't show up in the qt then. Maybe the stress from qt to dt? From reading i gathered stress and ammonia are two of the factors that can get brook rolling, but my ammonia is 0 so i know that wasn't it. I also started feeding the nems in that tank cooked shrimp, but i don't think that would do it?

The only fish I'm worried about now is my tang, the others are doing great but he/she has a few pale splotches but otherwise seems ok. I'm hoping once i add the quick cure the tang will recover fully.
