LOOKING TO ROUND OUT MY LIVESTOCK HERES THE STATS.. 150 GALLON FISH ONLY TANK WITH THE FOLLOWING

1 3IN PURPLE TANG
1 3IN SAILFIN
1 3IN HIPPO
1 3IN NASO
1 2 IN TOMATO

WOULD LIKE TO ADD A PAIR OF Heniochus Butterflys...ANY THOUGHTS FROM THE GROUP WOULD BE GREAT

JD:bum:

IMO , your full now

The Naso and Sailfin will reach 1'5"
The Purple Tang and Tomato Clown are aggresive and will be brutel to newcomers, they should have been the last ones in the tank

If you really want a new fish, why not adda Dwarf Angel, Hawkfish or Dottyback? You will still however have to watch that Purple and Tomato

i dont see any problems adding the butterfly's. You might have some issues with the puple tang. they tend to bully new tankmates

Personally u would be ok. Your naso and sailfin will reach a foot and a half.......but not ANY TIME SOON!!!! YOu should be ok for a while. I had a pair a heniochus that was raised for quarted sized babies. THey were pretty cool and cleaned other fish.

sailfins very rarely get over 9"
if you did a small school of bannerfishes i think you would be fine. i would invest in a "critter keeper" for the pruple tang to have time out in for a day or so when he goes the his tyrannical purple tang incedent.
hehe

good call....even if its just a large rubbermaid cooking thingy with a bunch of holes poked in it....that tang will be ugly to anyone new. Plus it tends to humble the aggressive fish for awhile at least.

I have a 180 with three purples and a yellow and just added a powder blue, about eight months ago with no problem at all.

Lucky you....most tangs, especially those of same genus, tend to be very ugly to each other and new arrivals. There are always exceptions to the rule and its always easy to deal with things when they go ideally/better than expected.

However, responsible fish care is being prepared for things to happen in such a way that "Murphy" seems like an optomist.
