4 days ago I bought a pair of percula clowns. Salinity 1.025 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0. Tank is cycled and honestly parameters are perfect I won't add fish unless they are. tank mates are 10 Nassarius snails 2 small crabs and a royal gramma. Acclimated them into my tank for 3 hrs and added them here is the deal. Neither seem interested in any food I offer them I have tried small flakes and small omega pellets as well as raw shrimp soaked with garlic cloves and blended. These fish are about 1.25" long. They act completely different. One swims in one spot just above the sand and looks good have never seen it eat though. The other is everywhere at once and seems a little interested in food however never seen it eat either. Is it normal for both to be way different and how can I get them to eat pellets? I figure when they get hungry they'll eat but I have to be able to feed them with my eheim as I am gone most weekends that is why I am trying to push pellets. Any advice is very greatly appreciated!

In my experience clowns while acclimating can be very stubborn about eating initially. Cyclopeez and frozen foods with mysis has worked well for me in the past. If they continue not to eat perhaps try some frozen so at least they'll have eaten something. Word of caution, do not over feed the tank in an attempt to get the clowns to eat.

Right I understand with the water thing I am an absolute pick when it comes to my water as its the only way to succeed in my opinion. I don't live anywhere near a sw fish store 2 hours is the closest one now is there anything else I can try at home or do I need to just keep feeding regularly til they get nice and hungry. And my other question is is it normal that 2 fish from same place same batch etc etc would act so different? Thanks so far!

The only hard and fast rule about clowns is that they're weird. In nature clowns are not big free swimmers, they hang around their anemone and that is pretty much it. New younger clowns sometimes feel more secure in one spot, that is usually the back corner of the tank unfortunately.
So no it's not usually for them to act differently.

You should ask the place you purchased them from what they were fed there. You may have better success getting them to eat if you offer them the same thing. Other than that, I would try a good quality frozen food

Hey guys I am quite certain my clown has a problem today. The one that is very active has started eating! That's the good news and it looks very happy and healthy! Now the bad news is the other one has not eaten anything. It is getting skinny and it's colors are definitely beginning to fade. It shows no signs of brook or ich. I think it is just not eating and running out of energy it is also starting to gasp a little. Please help I don't want to lose it if I can help it.

Clown kicked the bucket this morning was already vaporizer by my nassarius snails when I got there never ate or showed signs of disease just died other one as well as new one are thriving.
