I have in my 430 tank is an anularias angel, bicolor angel, coral beauty, flame angel, vlamingii tang, yellow tang, maroon clown, and a magnificent foxface. The fish up for elimination are 2 yellow tang, purple tang,1 or 2 saddleback butterfly,1 or 2 flame hawk, blue hippo tang, porcupine puffer, sailfin tang, and an emperor angel. There are two fish that are not up for elimination the porcupine puffer and blue hippo tang. My wife wants those two.

What do you mean by elimination? Killing them or just getting rid of them? Killing a perfectly good fish is pointless and mean. If you just want to get rid of them either put them in the for sale/trade section for free or take them to the lfs for store credit.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. The fish that are for elimination are fish that I would like to add to my tank. I know I can't add all them so what fish should I take off the list.

That makes more sense now. The yellow and purple tangs will be a gamble. You will probably have to rearrange your rock to keep down on initial aggression, and they may never work as they're the same body type. I don't know enough about the butterfly or hawk to say, but the porcupine gets huge and is a messy eater. Is this tank fowlr or reef? If reef you will have large nitrate issues with the puffer and will lose most if not all your inverts like shrimp and snails. Maybe some corals too.

At the time when I posted it the question made sense.lol But after reading it I can see how I worded it wrong. I would never just kill fish for the fun off it. I would just sell them to my lfs

As for the Angels, I would add different genus like a scribbled, personifer or blue face. Annularis and Emperor are both pomacanthus.

I would love to add a male scribbled but seems like only female or a pair are available. My wife wants a porcupine puffer and the blur hippo tang. So I'm going to get those two for her. I thought a blue face was in the pomacanthus family.

i say go with blueface. i've a blueface and emp together and they dont even look at each other. its an 4.5" emp juvie though.

when i had 7 large angels in my tank(2-7"), the only fish that bothered any other fish was the emp juvie chasing the same size chrysurus angel all the time.

I had a blue face once . I accidentally crushed him with some LR. A annularis, blue face and scribbled angel mix would be nice if they would get along.

I bought a puffer and a orange spotted rabbitfish. They are in my QT now. Next I'm going to get a blue hippo tang. After that it is still up in the air maybe a pair of flame hawks to add some red to the tank. LA sells a pair on DD every now and then.
