Need help finding old post

At one time maybe a few years ago there was a post about mixing saltwater and the brown nasty slime that would form on the sides of the can and pump. I tried searching several different ways but did not find what I was looking for. If someone out there remembers this post could you please share the link

I'm not familiar with the specific post you are looking for, but a google search shows plenty on the subject. Hopefully this will help you narrow it down.

If you didn't try this, search for reef crystals and brown residue. I got hits and maybe one of the threads is the one you were looking for or another would work.

No I did not post in the thread but it was a good read and a friend of mine was asking questions about it. I was hopping to turn him on to the post. I will try the Google search with reef crystals and brown residues I think that may put me were I want to go.
