Need Help from Aquacontroller Users

I have an Aqua Jr. that has been humming along quite nicely and handling all my lighting, temp and wavemaking until now. The temp now reads 121 degrees! Obviously, the tank is not that hot and the chiller temp gauge is doing its job and maintaining tank temp in the day. However, I am sure at night without the lights, the temp drops to 74 or so because the heater does not kick on.

Anyone seen an issue like this? Haven't got a response from Neptune yet. The instruct manual says the temp probe will never have to be calibrated.

Thx

I'm sorry I can't help, but I will be watching this post for replies, also. I have an Aqua Jr, and I have had a long list of "problems" with it. I don't know if it is user error, or what. I have a chiller, that isn't hooked up yet. The heater isn't turning on when it should. I have been afaraid to plumb the chiller, just yet. Sometimes the lights will turn ON or OFF at different times of the day too. The temp probe on mine is working fine. I just don't know what the problem is, for it controlling the heater/chiller. I have only had mine for just over a month now. I didn't find the directions all that helpful, either. I'm not a "Tekki" type. When I awoke this AM at 0400, the day lights came on for about 10 minutes, then turned off. No, I sure didn't program them to do this. I finally put the heater into a wall socket, it was keeping the temp better, when NOT hooked into the controller.

Other than this issue, the controller has worked perfectly for lights, temp and powerheads. If you look at the Neptune website, there are giving credit on the Jr. ($131) if you want to upgrade which I think I am going to do.

Do you use the "Pre-Programed" lights program, or do you set your own timing? I set my own, right now. I will look into the upgrade. Thanks.

I have an AC II and it does this too. It was working flawlessly at my old house, so I think it might be the difference in the new house wiring.

If you are having problems, please give me a call at 408-578-3022 and I'll help you out.

Curt called me to discuss the problem and is going to swap out the temp sensor. Since he was making the shipment, I upgraded to the Aqua 3! Can't wait to play with that baby.

Thanks for all the help.
