Well I found my longnose hawk in the overflow of the 210 "pretty deep" my net is not long enough and the space is pretty cramped. Any suggestions and or help would be appreciated.

Tried Pedros net extension till my back was sore. My net is too big to manuver in the overflow. The gravel slurp sounds good, and I think Mrs Gasman left some fishnet stocking here the other night. I will look for them now.

Coño! She told me I was the only one... and I believed her. :inlove:

drain the overflow, there will less wiggle room. I've had to catch a blue headed wrasse about a dozen times in there.

Have someone hold a net where the drain dumps into your sump. Pull the standpipe and let the overflow empty. Reminds me, I need to go catch my pair of pink skunk clowns again. They've lived in the overflow box for 4-5 months now. I've caught them and put them back in the tank, but they find their way back in...

Wow, I cant believe they can stay back there so long. I guess it's like downsizing from a 5b/3b to a studio apartment. BTW, I think Rogger is looking for some pink skunks. Thanks guys

No, I could not get the siphon tube deep enough. He is right on the bottom. I could not get the standpipe out it is glued in, would require taking out the bulkhead.

try putting some food in and when he swims up get him. Every time when I get ready to feed mine he swims up when he sees the cup

Whoa!!! I finally caught him. I ended up having to turn my pump off then draining the overflow with a siphon hose. I left about three inches of water in the bottom and then put Keith's small net with an extension into action. It took me about two hours to get him out. It was very difficult maneuvering the net around at the bottom using a mirror to look for the fish, and having 4 inches between the wall and the back of the tank. I will be putting up some type of barrier over the overflows tomorrow. Thanks for all the input and helpful ideas.

congrats. The bridal veil material would have gotten the job done in 10 mins;)

I will go to my local Catholic church and jack a bride before she zooms off in the limo, so that I can have some on hand next time this happens. Actually, JoAnne Fabrics is having a sale for FMAS members on wedding veil materials. I am on my way.
