Need help getting rid of predatory amphipods. Is there a trap I can make?

Mandarins do NOT eat these types. Some wrasses or a Black Barred Convict goby will eat them. I had to take all my zoa frags out and peroxide dip them. Then put them on frag rack high in the tank. After a few months numbers lowered but now I'm having issues again. They also nip at my other corals..i really hate these boogers. =/

Just curious, I have 6 month old tank with few corals, no zoas yet, but I have seen lots of amphipods to , do this things eat all corals ? or they targeted particular species?

Mostly, they don't eat corals at all. If a piece is dead or dying, they'll clean up that dead tissue. However, sometimes it sure appears they are helping the dying process along a little bit!

I don't think that there are traps for amphipods but there are fish which will take care of them such as mandarins or a marine betta. A marine betta will be able to eat the larger pods the mandarin or wrasse can't consume and they make an excellent addition to a reef aquarium.

These predatory amphipods are larger than normal ones. The ones in my tank that eat my zoas are stripped as well..kinda like teeny tiny tiger shrimps. They will hang around the corals base during day eating that part then go after tops. Again..mandarins dont eat this type..mandarins eat copepods and small amphipods not these.

A marine betta will be able to eat them like I said earlier and they grow to 8" so they'll have no problem. They even eat copepods and bristleworms.
