My son brought my daughters for xmas, a nem and maroon clown. Need to know how to care for the nem. I know he most likely wont host but we are going to try and keep the nem since LFS is an hour and a half away.

Condylactis need reef lighting, T-5, MH, probably PC is fine if the tank is shallow. They are known to wander, so cover your powerhead intakes to prevent a disaster. When they do attach, they seem to like their column down in a hole in the liverock or a large crevice. Otherwise, it would appreciate typical reef conditions, sg 1.026ish, temp 78-82F, low to no nitrates, moderate water flow. Condys are usually considered more hardy than many of the host species of anemone. They are found in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico around south FL. As you know, they aren't host anemones, but maroons are sometimes not too picky. Pics?

The nem has found a crevice and attached ate some shrimp pieces today. It was washed and rinsed 3 times before going into the DT. The clown is chilling in the QT tank for a few weeks.

Looks healthy. It will likely darken up as it acclimates to your lighting. Happy it has attached for you. That suggests it is happy with its surroundings.
