My yellow watchman goby has this mark on the side of his body... can someone help me identify?? I've had him for two years... Don't know what this is at first it was a smaller white mark and it is now larger and has some red now. Is it a disease? If so, what is it and how do I treat it?

That is VERY BAD.
He has lateral line disease. That's his skin eroding.
Do lots of water changes, to start.
The main problem, though, is probably nutrient deficiency. Buy a vitamin supplement, soak frozen mysis shrimp in it, and feed it to him.
What's he been eating? Gobies need meaty foods, and frozen brine shrimp are mostly water, so they don't count.

THank you. I will get a vitamin supplement tomorrow for him. His color is good and he is eating well and swimming about.

I'm not sure if it's technically skin eroding, but it's something similar.
Make sure you feed him vitamin-enriched mysis shrimp or something equally enriched, preferably more than once a day. If you're lucky, he'll be okay, but he's going to have scars.

Personally I would move the fish to a quarantine tank and treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic (I use Furan-2), looks like an injury that's turned into an infection.

Yes, I believe you are right that it was an injury. Today he is doing sooo much better. He is active, eating and the wound looks like it is healing. It is much smaller. I dosed his food with garlic solution and Vitamin C and it must be working. Thanks all for your replies and support.

Its another garlic miracle! (Meaning, garlic didn't have anything to do with it.) But I'm happy to hear he's doing better.
