Lets try this one more time and see if it helps with hopefully a beter picture. Any thoughts on what this is and how to get rid of it.

Thank you

looks like hair algae. better get something in there that likes to eat it. lawnmower blenny perhaps???

meantime, test make sure you don't have any nitrites or nitrates. No phosphates either. Do you use RO/DI??? What's your water change schedule. Do you siphon off old food, and poop? What do you feed? How often? How many fish in the 90?

yah... looks alot like hair aglae... i had a bunch and got 2 lawnmower blennies and they took care of it

To answer your questions:

I have a black sailfin blenny, he only eats algae off of the glass though.

Water parameters.

Ammonia-0
Nitrate-0
Nitrite-0
Ph-8.2
Salinity-1.024
Temp-78
Dkh-9
Calcium-430
Mag-1190

I do not have a phosphate kit. I have chaeto in my refugium though that grows pretty well and is a nice dark gree.

I have a ro/di system and that is all that goes into my tank.

I do about a 30% water change once a month.

I siphon my tank only when I do water changes, both off the rocks and sand.

I have been feeding mysis shrimp along with flake food once a day. I do a little at a time and do it over a 5 minute period.

Occupants: 3 damsels, 1 oscalerus clown, 1 flame angel, 1 black sailfin blenny, 1 diamondback goby,1 royal gramma, 10 turbo snails, 5 hermit crabs, 1 starfish, 2 peppermint shrimp and some sort of little crab I have no idea where he came from.

Would it help to have more cleaners? What is the rule of thumb with cleaners and the size of tank?

Thanks
