Ok I have my 180 up and running. Upgraded from a 65,58 and 40g. Here is a full tank shot.
Well right now I have on the right side a 36" MH/PC fixture that has Phoenix 250 14k DE bulbs in it. One balast is a blue wave and one is an Icecap with 2-96w 420/460nm pc bulbs sumplementing. The left side is a 250w SE Hamilton 14k bulb on an Icecap pendant with a CV balast. I want to build a canopy for the tank and keep the three 250 ballast. But I want more blue. I will give up a bit of growth for more color. I was thinking I want to go with 3-250w 20k Radiums SE. But I am not sure what reflectors I should go with. Since my tank is 24"deep I am really unlimited to which reflectors I can use. I do like to wake everything up with the actinics so I think I am gonna put 6 24'VHO or T5 actinic bulbs. 2 over each openong in the top brace. These will be strictly to wake everything up and will shut off after the MH's are on. Unless I really like the color. And I will probally go with 1-420nm and 1-460nm over each opening. What does everyone recommmend for the reflectors?? Lumenarcs Lumenbrights or others???
