I also have an unknown friend that came with my live rock (will post a picture). my main concern is why am I losing my little guys and my levels are good. I also have a jelly like substance, white in color, please lend my your knowledge!

How longs it been set up?
What are your water parameters?

Did you cycle the tank? 2 clowns in only 5 gallons could be an oxygenation issue, could be an ammonia isssue, and your white slime is almost certainly a bacterial sheet which could also deplete oxygen. Go to Imgur and go through procedures on the BBCopy function.

This reminds me when I first started out without much knowledge. There maybe an ammonia spike. What are your parameters?

Need much more info. Specific parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), age of tank, how long did the fish survive.

tank is about 2 months old. testing levels were ok nitrite was a bit high and I did a 60% water change. then added phose guard. tank seems to be doing a lot better. but my main concern now is that white jelly like substance. it seems to be subsiding a little. also can someone identify the fish that is hiding in the coral please?
