Need help pairing my snowflake oscellaris clownfish

My female took a dive out of the tank and I have this male oscellaris now. I've tried putting in smaller clowns but he's killed one and nearly killed another one. So I tried putting in a larger clown but they fought and didn't get along either. I'd like him to become a her but don't want it to kill another clown. Any tips on how to pair it up? Thanks.

I've tried putting the other clown in a viewing box but even after a week, when I released the smaller clown my snowflake went after him. Should I try it for a longer period?

Have u try revamping your tank and while doing that remove him out of the tank just until you are done revamping... Intro both fish at the same time and see what happens... Revamp usually helps for me... Good luck

not sure it would help, but I've always thought clowns were territorial and so perhaps changing your aquascape (ie: the clowns home) may help to reduce it's territorial behavior and accept a new mate....
again, just a thought...

BTW, beautiful Snowflake :)

edit: dugh....nemoboy bet me to the punch

Thanks for the input. I think what I'll do is take him out of the tank for a week and place both clowns into the tank at the same time. Hopefully He will forget his home. Re-aquascaping really isn't any option as the tank is small.

Or you could get a smaller one since this one has already established territory. Beautiful fish by the way. Probably the nicest Snowflake I've seen. I like yours and snowflakes are my least favorite designer clown.

Get a smaller one and put your current male in the breeder box, thus giving the new guy the run of the tank.

I've tried putting in smaller ones and he's killed 1 and nearly killed the other one. I think the problem may be that he's turining into a she and is really aggressive right now.

I think I'll put mine in a breeder box and let the new smaller clown stay in the anemone for a week and then try releasing my clown back into the tank.
