Need help picking a camera

I am looking for a camnera that can take good macro shots, and my price range is a little more than $300, i was looking at the Cannon powershot S3 IS and the kodak Z612

Does anyone have experience with either of these cameras? Any advice is appreciated.

Also if you know of another camera in that price range please let me know

im going with the S3 IS, im not good with slr and dont have the time to get good with them

I know many people that are happy with the Canon S3. Good quality camera, good macro function, and great zoom. KNow knoa about the kodak.

yea i already was on there a couple times looking at camera reviews and seeing what people seem to like the best, i saw a z612 vs s3 is comparison on there and they thought that the s3 was better it had more functions and a better macro function
