Need help picking a show fish

Bandit, or Emperor angel ... IMHO from the fish I have owned, these 2 have the best personality for being the "show" piece ... they are beautiful, and will follow you and guests around the tank....

Thanks guys for your recommendations, I am leaning towards an Emperor or Majestic Angel , but still not sure if they will be OK with SPS and clams. I plan on feeding my fish two times daily, this hopefully will help with nipping. Also thinking of trio pyramid butterflies, they are as reef safe as they come. One more thought is to get a pair of Genicanthus Semifasciatus, my LFS has a beautiful pair for $599 that has been through quarantine and eating like pigs. Let me know on my thoughts.

should be okay with sps, zoas may get a pruning..
if you get a baby make sure you feed it plenty...
I received a baby navarchus today and as with other babies they need to be feed multiple times a day...

good luck, both are great fish but very different...

I agree with the emperor. I have had mine since it was about 2 inches he is around 6 now and changing from a juvi to sub adult. Its an awesome experience. They also are awesome fish he eats out of my hand. When i have nori sheets or flake or pellets, he knows what it looks like so he follows it around. It definitely is a cool and good looking fish. Not to mention its one of the few angels in my personal opinion that is just as cool looking when its an adult.

I started mine in a 30 gal when he was 2 inches but now he is in my 180 and i think i might have to upgrade again. Im not condoning keeping fish in a smaller than recommended tank but you could always upgrade or get a different or sell him when he gets to big. I like upgrading it gives more options. But just my personal opinion again. I hope to be on humaguys level here soon!!!!!

I would go with the pair of Semi's. I think an Emperor or a Majestic would quickly outgrow your tank

I disagree with the majestic he has a 4 foot by 32in lets round up to 3 feet, this which would give 5 feet of diagonal swim room.

I would think the majestic can live permanently in his tank.

I have a majestic in my 180 with SPS, LPS and zoas for about a year. Bought it as an adult and hasn't touched a thing yet. Is about 4". Majestics stay pretty small compared to most large angels.

Not sure as to compatibility w/sps but if you are considering a majestic what about a goldflake, flagfin (much cheaper than GF) or Blueline angel.

That is of course assuming Huma is not willing to sell his Interrupta to you under your budget since he did bring that fish up....

NYA is a good sourse to find these.
