need your help!
Got home tonight from work and my new GSP's were all closed. Yesterday they were all open in an two hours after placing it in the tank and they were open all night and looked great!
What happened?
Just checked my parameters pH 8.4 nitrates ,nitrites and ammonia all perfect zeros! salinity great!
what are your thoughts ?

Sometimes an inhabitant will brush up against mine or a snail will decide to crawl over them causing them to close up. Have you checked your alk? I'd say it's nothing to worry about. Check them tomorrow.

I wouldn't worry yet, it can be fussy for a few days when it wants too. Wait it out and see what happens since your water checks out.

I agree with moloch. They can be fussy. I have a patch that started very small and is now a dominating force on it's rock. The bristle worms are probably the cause for the closing. As long as they arent eating it, they'll move on and all will be well again.

You guys were right ,They are all open and look great, thanks!

Yup, GSPs can close up for quite some time & then open back up.

..............as I found out! only two day though!

mine closed for a month for no reason. than opened back up and were fine. had a growth spurt right after as well.
