Im putting a 210 gallon tank with a 75 gallon sump. My estimate is that it will weigh somewhere between 3 and 4 thousand pounds. There is nothing under it in the basement where it want it to go and it has a drop ceiling.

Anyone have any recommendations where to find someone who could help with this in the area.

Good Luck. I wound up with the most expensive 180 gallon tank in history because of the same issue. I survived because I managed to convince my wife that the floor was sagging anyway from the couch and the piano. No floor joist supports to go right angles to?

Its not an issue yet. I haven't put the tank in yet. I want to prevent an issue. If it cant be done the tank is going in the basement

If you go the route of reinforcing using posts, you may want to consider building a "fish closet around the posts and putting your sump in the basement. Of course there are those pesky plumbing holes to explain...

I just went through a similar thing with my 300. first you need to determine if the beams are running parralel or perpendicular with the tank. if perpendicular, you may be fine without any support. if parallel, position a couple I beams underneath the joists. I can take pics of what I did if you want, send me a PM

I have a 210 and sump (( guessing around 60-75 gallons )) on the main floor of my townhouse, and didn't change anything.
It is above the garage, on the "outside wall", and the engineered joists are running perpendicular --- hasn't smashed my car yet. ;)

"outside wall" in that is it the outside wall of my unit, but isn't a true outside wall since we are the middle unit, but as far as structure goes, it counts as an outside wall.

EDIT --- also, remember if you to put those jack posts up, will need to place them on something to distribute the weight -- normal basement posts (( ie, permanent ones )) will usually have a "pad" or footing of concrete under them --- looks like normal floor to the eye. The use of addition footings most likely would be overkill in this case.
