Welllllll, I reckon Shane is pretty busy putting his rockscape back together right about now, but nonetheless.....mission accomplished!


The little yellow bastard is now busy watching the cheato grow, right there next to my Maroon bastard. I can hear them now...sipping Coepepod Daquiries and singing Kuumbiya around the campfire together

Hahahaha yah... we got him yesterday. He was tough to catch for sure. I could have caught about every other fish in my tank in 1/4th the time.

I did skim about 4.5 gallons overnight with all the crap we stirred up getting that fish out. God Bless giant oversized german skimmers.

Hahahahaha, I just caught my maroon last night using steve's method above...put her anenome's rock in a 1g water jug with cut out holes in the bottom and rope tied to the top. She went right in, I pulled her right out. 5 minutes time. Anyway, she is also watching the cheato grow. Maroons are bastards!!!

cooltank Glad it worked. Clowns are about the easiest to catch once you figure out how. I just scoop them out of their anemone with the clear cup at night, a couple hours after the lights go out.

Well, I wouldn't say it was a dud....the fish DID swim around nipping, picking, grazing, like he normally would (in other words, the disguise was effective)
But, the fat little bastard was evidentily content with his usual Coral McNugget diet that he's been getting.... so our "krill" bait might as well have been brocolli to him.

I would have used an M203 Grenade Launcher, evidently resulting in a huge splash, catch fish in a cup before it hits the floor, and youd have your rock re-aquascaped before you know it.
