need help sick puffer!!!

Long story short... My dogface puffer is in q and he is not doing well. I thought it was just ick so I started hypo. Now he is panting badly so I thought ammonia so I did a huge water change. Didn't help and now he looks real bad. One thing I thought was weird and I hope this helps is there are red blotches all over him. Eyes are cloudy and it looks like fuzz is coming off his back. What can I do please help!

I would suggest testing the water parameters.

If they are stable - and you are not sure if it is ich or not - I would start SeaChem Cupramine and Mardel's Maracyn-2.

Sounds like a pH crash from the dropped salinity. Check the pH and alkalinity. The red blotches sound like acidosis. Do not bump the pH in large increments if so. Go slowly and increase 0.2 units each day.
