Currently running a 30g standard with otb carbon filter and 45lbs of LR. We currently have a Condy anem.( we are thinking of getting rid of it), 5 green chromis, 1 blue damsel 1 tank bred oc clown, 1 peppermint shrimp , 10 astrea snails, 8 blue leg hermits. Have mixed reef corals.. Currently zoos, 1 hammer coral, violet pulsing xenia, yellow star polyps, snake polyp coral, spiny yellow gorg fan, and tarot/ kenya tree coral. Going to add some sps and more softies to the 125 for a mixed reef.

Wish list must have: Blue hippo tang, more clowns More chromis and damsels (for some schooling fish).

I need some advise on what reef safe fish to buy And how many so I dont overstock for some variety for our new 125g.

125g has dual overflow. I am currently running pluming. (I will post a build thread) Also going to have 36w uv sterilizer 40 gal breeder as a fuge/ sump with a in sump skimmer. Haven't decided on a return pump either.Auto top off. It has a 60" Hamilton Tech light which has 3 mh and t5 combo. Possibly going to add some actinic powerbrite modules to supplement this.

Any feedback would be helpful. We don't have any LFS around here to offer any help advice. Thank you .Drew

IMO that 30 is heavily stocked as is.
When you move to the 125, I'd rid yourself of the damsels, they are mean/territorial and impossible to get out of a stocked tank.
A pair of clowns should be fine, not sure I'd add more than 1, but many people have.
Hippo should be fine in the 125, but not the 30.
Personally, every tank I've ever seen try to keep a school of chromis had them slowly die off over time down to 1, but if you've been successful, give it a try.
Also, check out "Blue Reef Chromis", I think they are much nicer looking

I am not adding any more to the 30.. I am trying to see what I can do with the 125 before I get anything I shouldn't. I would #1 hate to waste money #2 hurt/kill any livestock unnecessarily. Thanks guys!

my recommendations for a 72" long 125:

get rid of the Condylactis. Replace with a BTA.
Keep your 5 Green Chromis and Blue Damsel but don't add any more.
Get a mate for your clownfish.

Hippo in a 72" 125 is definitely do-able but not something that I (personally) would choose to do. Perhaps consider other alternatives.

Suggestion: make sure aquarium top is covered with garden netting and look into flasher/fairy wrasses.

(that didn't hurt so much, did it?) :)
