I purchased a BTA from liveaquaria about 2 weeks ago and upon placing him in the tank he quickly seemed to find a spot that was suitable wedging his foot deep behind a rock and extending way out to have his surface area out in the open light. There is a Clarki clown that hosts him and he looked beautiful until recently as he is shrinking back to almost an 1/8th his normal size when fully open and he has been doing this off and on for 2 days now. He will look completely normal and then shrink down to nothing. Its sad watching the clown try to host something not much bigger than himself. The foot is still attached and has yet to move its just the "body" of the BTA seems to be going through something. Any ideas???

how often do you feed it? btas shrivil up to almost nothing when they are pooping. and if you feed it alot, it will poop alot.
also, if the perimeters of your water is changing alot, they will have to shrink then expand to regulate the water in them.. (they are basicly bags of water..)
