Need help with 6055 flow!

I have a 6055 nano pump controlled by a Digital Aquatics APC in a Elos System 70 55gal tank. The pump is set as master and the settings are 70/30. The problem is it seems to be pumping at 100/100 all the time and the water is literally go over the top of the tank if i place it high, and if I place it lower in the tank the sand is stirred up all over the place! How do I correct this?

I would suspect the cable from the controller is not fully inserted, I have no first hand experience with this controller so perhaps someone can chime in. A common issue with the Apex cables is that the rubber boot on the din connector is too long and prevents the plug from being fully inserted.

For the time being you could use the jumpers that came with the power supply to reduce the voltage and reduce the flow while you sort out the cable/controller issue.
