I got this Heniochus 7 days ago. He's in qt and doing great. I acclimated him and started prazipro on day two. Tomorrow I'm starting a second round of prazipro. He has two questionable spot on him at the moment. One looks like a black blister to his left lower fin. His fins are jagged and I can't tell if his fin ripped or if it's disease. The other spot looks like a white sugar grain on his fin. It's been there since he arrived and hasn't changed. Let me know your thoughts on diagnosis and treatment.

Hard to tell but it looks like it may be Lympho. Can be caused by poor water quality and stress. I think it may be a thread already in this forum for treatment. IME I just made sure the water parameters were good and soak my food in Selcon and other vitamins and it went away and have not seen it since. Maybe the experts will chime in soon.

I'm hoping lympho too. The white spot on his fin has stayed all week and isn't changing or spreading. I did have a heat fail and the tank temp dropped. The fish was stressed and look bad. But once the tank came back up to temp he was happy eating and looked fine after a day.

I'm going to hold off on copper treatments and see how he looks In a week. If there's no change then I'm ruling ich out.

Copper will only stress the fish more and cause the lymphoma to get worse. Just get the butterfly thru QT and the problem will correct itself after it's in a less stressful environment like your DT
