need help with ac3

i need a manual for dummies. i read the manual a couple of times and don't understand how to ude the dc8. ex: how does the ac3 know that i have a light plugs in output 1. can someone walk me through it PLEASE!

Setup>Timer Setup>Add timer> (Say for lights) LT1$-A01
Off the top of my head, I havent used the actual unit to program in a while.

A01 is the way you assign the outlets. I just happen that my 1st DC8 is A, next is B and so on. Then I number the outlets Top to bottom, left to right, 1-8.

i understand how to program it for ex: LT1$-A01 but howdo u assign the dc8 like you did like: the first dc8 is a and the u numbered the outlets 1-8 from top to bottom, left to right. so how did you assign the bottom right outlet which would be a08 to be a08.

There are little switches on the side. Its hard to describe, they are just little white switches. For A 1-8 I think its Down, Up, Up, Up. But I could be wrong. I think there's a little picture that explains it.

well using the little white switch the 3rd which will either read 1-8 or 9-16 so if i want to program the bottom right to be LT1$-A16 how does it know to program the bottom right to be LT1$-A16.

That I cant tell you exactly. Its just the way the thing is wired, and the way the controller interprets the program, and puts the signal out that certain port to hit the wire that connects to that plug to which the device is plugged into.

Like you want your lights on at 6am and off at 6pm.
LT1$-A01
If Time > 06:00 Then LT1 ON
If Time > 18:00 Then LT1 OFF
and so on.

Everything you need though is in the manual or online here. There should be anything stopping you. I thought you were wanting the language for like a new program or a controller.

i read the manual for the ac3 and the dc8 several times. i guess im just stupid b/c i feel i missing something. i understand that If Time > 06:00 Then LT1 ON, If Time > 18:00 Then LT1 OFF means the the lights will be on between 6am-6pm, but i don't understand which outlet to plug it into or how to label each outlet since the tabs will only read 1-8 or 9-16

You define the outlet by the timer names. LT1$-A01 then that the top left plug on the DC8. 1-4 top, 5-8 bottom. Its you that picks what outlet, the controller just turns it on and off. There's no rhyme or reason to what goes where. You decide. I put my low draw stuff (Aqualifter pumps) on 4 and 8 since those are relay plugs.
