I had a few a couple weeks ago. I used boiling water in a turkey baster. Worked great and I haven't seen any more yet. A couple that were hard to get at took a second application. They shrink up and hide so the next day you have to see if they survived then go after them again.
I tried peppermint shrimp first and the emerald crabs had a $20 feast.
The only fish that will guarantee eradication is a raccoon butterfly fish. Copperbands work about 50% of the time but they have other issues.
For about the two seconds that they are devouring tube worms and aiptaisia.I didn't think the Raccoon butterfly was reef safe? Is it?
Aptasia is common.
Once you have aptasia, you will always have it.
We call it a pest but its not that bad, worry about infections that kill fish over night.
Once you have aptasia it is best to use natural population control.
If you dont have LPS corals get a matted file fish.
If you have LPS, go to reeftopia.com, purchase 30 peppermint shrimp and watch aptasia dissappear for a year or two, in the display tank and assuming your tank can sustain inverts.
Aiptasia X from Red Sea works pretty well. I had a few pop up in my tank which I happened to start with dry rock (scratches head) and I was able to nuke them with the Red Sea product.
Where in Ontario are you? I might know of some decent LFS.
With aiptasia, I blast mine with boiling water and then suck them up. Works fantastic.

It would be cool if you would do a forum post on doing this with pictures.
