Need Help with Chiller: BANG noise.

Hi All "“

I hope everyone is doing awesome! 

Sorry I have been away for a bit. I have been out and about traveling the world. :beachbum:

I actually need some help. I bought a chiller from a fellow reefer a few months ago. It's a Current 1/3 HP chiller. It works awesome, chills perfectly, etc. However, after I hooked it up, I realized that there was a loud "œbang" every time the chiller shut off. It was sporadically happening then, however, now it is louder and happens every time the chiller cycles. So, essentially, the chiller kicks on as normal, cools as required, is not loud when it's actually chilling"¦but the moment it stops it cycle it makes a loud BANG! Kind of like someone slams a door or drops something on the floor.

Any ideas or thoughts on who may be able to service this?

Thank you All! :wavehand:

There are probably either 3 or 4 bolts that mount the compressor to the bottom of the case. Maybe one or more are loose, allowing the compressor to move? I'm thinking that maybe the threads on a loose bolt grab the side of it's hole and the sound you hear is when the connection breaks.
Just a guess.

Check the mounts for the fan too.
