Need help with closing up hairy Leather (hard Singularia species)

Coral was doing fine and expanding itself for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden, just started to close down. Next to a Chile coral, which was moved. Only introduced a Powder Brown Tang fish at this time. The rock it is placed on sits in front of the area where I have a circulator and add my additives and top off water. Therfore, the hard base is exposed to the water circulation section of the tank. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Increase flow...direct a powerhead flow to bounce of the glass near it, so that it swirls around it...most leathers retract their polyps and shed their outer skin...kind of waxy looking as a way to refresh and get rid of parasites
